Terms of Service
By using imexdesk.com, api.imexdesk.com, IM Expert, Vessel Information, or related IMExDesk services, you agree to these terms.
1. Service description
IMExDesk provides decision-support tools for Bangladesh port billing (CPA/RSGT), HS code intelligence, shipment tracking aids, and public vessel berthing information. Estimates are designed to match verified paid-bill evidence; they are not a substitute for official CPA/terminal invoices or customs rulings.
2. Accounts
- IM Expert requires a registered account (owner policy effective 19 July 2026).
- You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and for activity under your account.
- Beta or trial plans may include daily quotas; exceeding limits may return HTTP 429.
- We may suspend accounts that abuse rate limits, scrape unlawfully, or attempt to break security controls.
3. Acceptable use
- Use the service for legitimate C&F, freight, and import/export operations.
- Do not upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, or reverse-engineer rate engines beyond normal use.
- Do not rely on estimates as legal advice or as the final payable amount without checking the official bill.
4. Public Vessel Information
The free Vessel Information surface aggregates public berthing data for convenience. Availability depends on upstream sources; IMExDesk does not guarantee uninterrupted live feeds.
5. Intellectual property
IMExDesk branding, software, and documentation remain our property. You retain rights to data you submit (bills, notes) and grant us a limited license to process them for support and product operation.
6. Disclaimer & liability
The service is provided “as is” during free beta and paid plans. To the maximum extent permitted by law, IMExDesk is not liable for commercial losses arising from reliance on estimates when the official port/customs invoice differs. Billing-accuracy claims apply only where we publish verified anchors against paid-bill evidence.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
